The squad that wrote it
One row per player, per season. Move someone to centre back in 2031 and their 2029 record stays exactly as it was, because history here isn't a copy you hope stays in sync. It's the same table you have been filling in all along.
A transfer system, not a list
Signings, sales, loans out, loans in, recalls and expiries, each recorded the way it actually happened. Loan terms run in seasons rather than calendar dates, and one that outstays its welcome gets flagged before you forget about it.

Goals, squad rating, average age and league finish plotted across the whole career, plus the leaderboards that settle who actually built the club.
Every season is a chapter
Each one stands on its own: squad, results, competitions. Finish it and “End season & advance” carries the squad forward a year older and developed, with everyone who left already gone. The season you just played becomes history you can still read.
A cabinet that fills itself
Nothing to tick off. Finish top of your league or win a cup and the trophy room updates on its own, because silverware is worked out from the competitions you already recorded.

Three habits, and the record writes itself

Open the season
Name the year, add the squad you're starting with, and list the competitions you're playing in.

Log it as you play
Type stats straight into the squad table, where every cell saves on its own. Record deals in the transfer hub the night they happen.

End season & advance
Ages tick up, growth lands on overalls, expiring loans resolve, results reset and everyone who left is dropped. The season you just played becomes a chapter you can still read.
